Your Conversations

January 18, 2012 by

Every piece of printed literature is a part of a conversation.

With the advancement of printing technology, data mining and social media, we are discovering we can increase the conversation with our customers. But to succeed it must be an engaging one . An ongoing one.

Social media is playing a new and significant role and is here to stay. We are talking to customers and finding out real time what they think. Even more important, customers are talking to each other.

However they are accomplished, these conversations provide deeper and better information about buyers. Increasingly sophisticated data mining technologies are enabling unprecedented levels of customer insights, segmenting and targeting.

And guess what?

Printed communication is as important as ever. New software and variable data printing technologies are leveraging enhanced customer information, enabling printed materials to speak directly to each individual. At the same time, many who are leading the way into social media are realizing print is still key to customer engagement.

Today it is all about the mix. Social media, the web page, email, smartphones, and yes, print – all are part of a great conversation.

Creating Community

January 3, 2012 by

You are fun to write to! Yes you! Many of you comment on my writing…mostly good. Your feedback makes my writing fun and entertaining.

“But why write newsletters, blogs and emails, Tom”?

Simple: To connect.  To inform. To create conversation. To convey our story. To stay top of mind. To create community.

Important and vital for customers and their suppliers…..wouldn’t you agree?

There is no one more important to our team’s success than you. Our communications continues our conversations, builds our relationships while they educate and inform.

A couple of weeks ago my email offered Keys to MC’s Success (during the Great Recession). One Key is our relentless focus on sales and marketing.  Our time and expense in these two areas have increased over the last three years.

How is your sales and marketing program doing right now? How are YOU staying in touch with your community

Your community should receive from you multiple touches from multiple media.

Your Success is Important,

Ink: Our standard inks are Braden Sutphin’s “Earth Pride” inks. They contain no petroleum oil and are completely landfillable. This compares to standard soy inks, which contain about 15% petroleum oil and are not landfillable.

PRINT does it like no other media

August 3, 2010 by

Recently, the Wall Street Journal reported a group of major periodical publishers were joining together to promote the usage of print as a reliable and profitable method for advertisers. These nationally known publications are experiencing significant revenues returning to them after their customers shifted dollars to the internet. Now they want to tell the world: customers want their information in the familiar media of print.

CROSS MEDIA

August 2, 2010 by

Cross Media is simply using multiple media to get your message across and/or to evoke a response. Studies show groups receive, retain and respond to messages differently. For example, some groups respond to sound and others to visual stimulation. Further studies show our audiences need steady prompting as well. Regular contact brings a greater probability of success.
